Wolves trial results look promising
South Coast Wolves played Apia Leichhardt on Sunday morning at the Campus East ground in front of around 80 family, friends and interested spectators.

In their second trial of the season, Wolves played a compact tidy game to emerge 2-1 up.

They were rewarded by a goal from ex-Olympic player Ken Chun in the first half while ex-Fernhill striker Andrew Keep slotted in number two deep in the second half.  Coach Trevor Morgan said  “Our fitness levels are where I expected during the early pre-season and we’re OK for about 65 minutes, but after that we start to fade. We had some good sequences of play and everyone is responding well to game strategies, however we still need to improve our defensive communication and positioning.â€Â

During the trials and at training, Morgan has some players monitored with GPS technology and will use individual results as feedback to gauge a players performance. The adaptation of GPS (Global Positioning System) is a powerful tool used to measure the quality of our running, in particular speed and frequency.

The Wolves are still trialling players and hope to make some exciting announcements in the upcoming weeks.

During the week, the Wolves Under-20’s demolished a lackluster Apia-Leichhardt with a convincing 6-1 win.
